Speed and agility are the top two movement skills necessary for football success. It's also widely known that most athletes do not master the art of running until very late in their career. The ALFSS Speed & Agility program will give student- athletes a football specific, track & field style speed program.
Taking advantage of our vast experiences and relationships with some of Canada's elite track and field coaches we created a program focused on: the ABC's of sprinting, change of direction, acceleration/ deceleration, footwork, hip flexibility, balance, leverage.
Through our Speed & Agility program you will develop your skills in the various phases of speed training in order to realize, maximize, and actualize your speed potential.
ALFSS First Phase Program (Ages 8-12)
First Phase is our non- contact Youth Skill Development Program and is similar to the H.S. Elite program in terms of the types of training, except, we will deliver each aspect in an age appropriate manner. In the youth program we will highlight: good sportsmanship, problem solving, decision making, effort, fundamentals, listening, following directions, team work, and last, but not least - FUN! When leading our youth training our main goal is to give kids a fun outlet to explore their passion of football and teach valuable life skills. We will: praise sportsmanship, keep the explanations simple, focus on fundamentals, keep your child active, and have friendly competition.
The youth program will be teaching your child the necessary movement skills and fundamental skills to be life- long participants in healthy living and recreational activity via the game of football.
Our main goal is to help each child initiate and develop the habits needed to enjoy a healthy lifestyle and be life- long participants in recreational activities by the skills developed, and values instilled through participation in the game football.
First Phase Program consists of:
Introduction to Football Basics, Skill Development (Speed & Agility/ Strength & Conditioning/ Position Specific/ Game Knowledge & Situational Training), Competition (7v7 games),
ALFSS STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

Just as speed and agility skill development are of most importance to football success, so is strength and conditioning training. We provide a personalized workout tailored to each player, or group with a focus on getting the most out of the athlete each day to ensure they strive toward their maximum strength, explosion, and strength endurance limits.
Using our personal and professional experiences as personal trainers we have created a workout regiment focusing on functional training excercises, the hypertrophy philosphies on muscle growth and development, fast- twitch muscle activation, mental strength and conditioning, and injury prevention.
Through our Strength & Conditioning program you will build your physical/ mental strength and endurance to a point where you can maximize your impact on tthe field
ALFSS Final Phase Program (Ages 13-19)
Final Phase is our non- contact H.S. Elite Skill Development program which will train, teach, prepare, assess, expose and aid the most dedicated, and passionate players.
We utilize a combination of regiments including, but ot limited to: functional skill development, position specific skill development, elite game knowledge and repetition in a high intensity competitive environment. Including: speed & agility training, strength & conditioning training, explosion & endurance training, acceleration & deceleration training, balance & leverage training, field awareness, situational awareness, 1v1 competition & team/ situational competition, film study.
The student-athlete in this program will also be able to utilize our Academic Support and Recruitment Assistance programs as well.
Final Phase Program consists of four elements:
Academic Support, Skill Development (Speed & Agility/ Strength & Conditioning/ Position Specific/ Game Knowledge & Situational Training), Competition (7v7 games), and Recruiting Support.
ALFSS "Futures Through Football"
School/ Community Support Initiative
We have created a school/ community initiative where will will incorporate aspects of our skill development programs along with a specialized program to suit the needs of that school/ community. We will come to your school or organization and run a 4+ session workshop/ workout where we work along side the school/ organization staff to tailor a program specific to the school's vision and overall objectives.
The program is ran ideally along side the full time coaching staff, or physical education teacher with ALFSS taking the lead, or we can also run the program independant of regular staff being involved.

We will give disadvantaged GTA youth the access and resources necessary to participate in football, to teach the uses of football that can further each's future on and off the field, and to increase the mental and physical abilities of all interested student- athletes that will help them succeed in football and life in general.
